NGO “Center for Climate Changes” was established in late 2007 and officially registered in January 2008, as non – government, non – religious, non – political, and non – profit organization, based on Law of Association of Citizens and Foundation in the Republic of Macedonia.
Main aims of the Center for Climate Changes are: Raising public awareness about climate changes and opportunities of CDM, suggesting measures for improving and amendment of the legal framework in the field of climate changes and environment, strengthening the capacities on local and national level, as well as strengthening capacities of the industry for development of climate changes related projects.
The mission of CCC is to protect environment and implement activities combating climate changes, which in the last years became serious danger for the humanity.
Our vision is to make a low carbon community. In order to achieve this we have been working on a several projects related with GHG reduction, and climate change mitigation as well as adaptation.
Our organization was established by people who have great experience in environment protection. We want to share our experience with others and support central and local authorities in establishing good governance in environment, particularly in combating climate change.
CCC has a team of 3 people that represent the core of the organization. In addition, CCC is able to hire more people if needed.
In just a few years from establishing CCC has gained a rich experience in implementing projects financed by Macedonian and also international organizations.
Since February 2009 CCC is the local partner of the Norwegian consultancy company “Norsk Energi”, on their project “Building Local Capacities for Climate Project Development”, facilitating project implementation in Macedonia.
From 2009-2011 CCC will work with Norsk Energi and National Cleaner Production Center Macedonia on the project “Cleaner and more cost efficient industry in Macedonia”, a 3 year project funded by the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, coordinating and facilitating implementation in Macedonia.
