Student Exchange of young professionals will increase potential for future cross-border collaboration. CCEI therefore also includes a component on Student Exchange.
In 2010, two students,one from Macedonia and one from Norway, received practical training related to their studies via the programme. From mid-June to mid-July they worked together in Norway on conducting an energy audit in the yarn-producing company Sandnes Garn from Norway, supported by Macedonian professors and Norsk Energi representatives. In August, similar exercise was conducted in the yarn-producing company Teteks Yarn in Macedonia.
Energy audit reports were prepared for both companies and these will be used in improving energy efficiency in operation of these two companies. The students got useful experience with working abroad, with working in cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams in a real life project assignment..
CCEI aim at providing similar opportunities for more students in 2011.
