ORBEO wins ELEM CDM tender
The Paris based carbon trader ORBEO has been selected as partner to help ELEM develop the CDM project for rehabilitation of REK Bitola, the largest thermal power plant in Macedonia. The development of the project design document (PDD) for the CDM project was prepared under the Norwegian funded CDM capacity building program in 2009, a program aiming at developing local CDM expertise in Macedonia.

Call for companies closed
The call for companies for participation in phase 3 of the energy efficiency component is now closed. CCEI has received 7 applications. CCEI will select 3-4 companies, depending on who much work is required on the projects. Budgets for the technical assistance will be developed, of which CCEI will co-finance parts of it. Memorandum of Understanding will be signed with the Manager of the selected companies. The announcement on which companies will take part in phase 3 is foreseen in May 2011.
Call for companies launced
The call for companies for phase 3 of the energy efficiency component was opened today. Companies qualifying for participating in phase 3 will obtain co-financing of technical assistance in preparing energy efficiency projects for financing. Improving energy efficiency, improving profitability
CCEI, in cooperation with the Economic Chamber of Commerce, organized the 1st February its
second seminar on financing opportunities for realizing energy efficiency projects in Macedonia.
The seminar titled “Improving energy efficiency, improving profitability” gathered more than 50
participants from energy intensive industry, relevant authorities and financing institutions.
