Rade Koncar

Rade Koncar is a manufacturing company located in the outskirts of Skopje. Among their main products are electrical components such as AC and DC driven contactors, modular and auxiliary contactors and electronic time relays. The company was founded in 1947 and has currently 195 employees.
The company views EMS certification as a prerequisite for penetrating the western European market and as a tool to ensure better awareness and performance in their environmental work. Prior to the EMS implementation Rade Koncar has successfully achieved a certified ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
The implementation work has been done by a company project team in collaboration with local consultants Igor Ristovski and Blaga Zlatanoska.
Rade Koncar expects to be ISO 14001 certified in May 2011.
Teteks Yarn

Teteks Yarn produces wool tread and yarn with manufacturing and office premises in Tetovo. The company is joint venture between Macedonian company Teteks AD and Norwegian company SandnesGarn. In its current configuration the company was founded in 2007, and they have around 240 employees.
The wish of a healthy environment and more efficient usage of the raw materials and energy is the main motivation for the company for entering the EMS program.
Sadly, due to internal resource challenges at Teteks Yarn the EMS implementation has been postponed indefinitely and the project support terminated. We hope that Teteks Yarn will restart their process at a later date, and we wish them all the best. The presiding local consultant was Blaga Zlatanoska in collaboration with a team from the company.
Beton Stip
BETON-STIP designs and constructs objects in all fields of civil engineering and building construction. Established in 1947 it has a long history of successful construction projects. The main office is located in Stip, but the company is active all over Macedonia. Currently the Beton Stip has about 150 employees.
By building on their already implemented ISO 9001 system they wish to implement EMS to improve environmental protection in their projects, to ensure easier adaption of new legal obligations and to strengthen profile in tenders.
Local consultant Ljupco Stojkovski in collaboration with a motivated project team has ensured that Beton Stip is on track to reach ISO 14001 certification this spring.
Makprogres Vincini
Makprogres is a manufacturing and trading company within the food industry sector. In a large product portfolio they focus on confectionary products, snacks and jams. The company was established in 1990, and is still a family owned enterprise. A significant share of their production is for export.
The company is very proactive in with respect to energy efficiency, safety and environment. They are already ISO 9001 and HCCP certified, and EMS is a natural continuation of these systems.
Makprogres hopes to be ISO 14001 certified before the summer 2011. The company EMS team has been helped by local consultant Goran Sazdov.
