Norsk Energi has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Socotab Bitola AD, a factory for green tobaccy processing and storage located in the outskirts of Bitola. Norsk Energi and local partners in Macedonia will under phase 3 of the energy efficiency component of CCEI cooperate with Socotab on identifying energy saving opportunities and increasing project development skills amount young professionals in Macedonia.
For Socotab, the cooperation with CCEI is a part of their commitment to reducing energy consumption and environmental impact of production. The factory subject to energy auditing is the most recent of the factories in the Socotab Group, put in operation just a bit more than one year ago.
By cooperating with CCEI, Socotab will support the career development of young Macedonian professionals. A project team consisting of junior consultants, company representatives and senior consultants from Macedonia and Norway, will until the end of the year look at energy saving opportunities in selected processes of Socotab Bitola AD.
