
Norsk Energi has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Vardar Dolomit DOOEL in Gostivar for the cooperation on identifying energy saving opportunities and increasing project development skills amount young professionals in Macedonia.
The Norwegian funded program launched a call for cooperating companies in the spring 2011. Vardar Dolomite, a producer of refractory material, qualified for the last round of the competition and is the first company to sign MoU for phase 3 of the energy efficiency component of CCEI.
The companies qualifying for participation in this phase will support the career development of young professionals, by obtaining co-financing of consultancy services for identifying and developing potential energy saving projects. A project team consisting of junior consultants, company representatives and senior consultants from Macedonia and Norway, will until the end of the year look at energy saving opportunities in selected processes of Vardar Dolomite DOOEL. In the beginning of 2012, the resulting projects will be presented to financing institutions and other stakeholders that may support Vardar Dolomite in implementing the energy saving measures.
